Steven C. Hicks has long been well known as one of the hospitality industry's top resort management executives. For more than twenty eight years, Steve has been successfully building, training and managing large resort management companies and providing exceptional leadership and hands-on management for some of the finest, well known resorts in the industry.
Steve is a high energy, positive thinking individual with outstanding people skills. He is an excellent motivational and team-building leader who is highly respected by employees, developers and associations for his fair, caring and persuasive management style. He has managed more than fifty resorts, sixty owner associations with more than three hundred association board members and nearly 3000 employees, and has been responsible for developer and owner association assets in excess of $1 Billion.
Steve has had a successful and stable career serving twenty-five years as President of Shell Vacations Hospitality, building the company from three properties to more than twenty resorts in the US and Canada. Just prior to forming his own company, Steve was in charge of all North American Resorts for Diamond Resorts International. Steve is considered an expert at fairly identifying, managing and coordinating the needs of the Owners Associations, Developers, lenders and guests. Steve is now President of Resort Management Advisors (RMA), where he offers a unique management and advisory alternative to the timeshare and hospitality industries.
Steve has earned the designations of Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) from the American Hotel & Lodging Association Educational Institute and Registered Resort Professional (RRP) from the American Resort Development Association (ARDA), and is regularly requested by ARDA as a speaker and/or moderator at the annual National Convention. He has also served multiple years on ARDA's Property Management Committee, Meetings Committee and Awards Committee as well as the Resort Management Council. Steve has also received numerous Humanitarian and Public Service Awards for his volunteer work in the community.
